Cooking delicious and beautiful food, especially gluten-free food is an adventure involving risk, imagination, creativity and resourcefulness. Throw in two enthusiastic children, a loving spouse, the challenges of everyday life, the company of fellow foodies-many of whom have their own food allergies, and the kitchen truly becomes a symbol of adventuresome living.
The recipes, musings and confessions provided herein are intended to be helpful, sometimes funny and sometimes philosophical. Few things make me happier than seeing smiling, satisfied faces around my table. Perhaps one of these recipes or musings will help bring that joy to your table. Happy Eating!

Hi,
I am sorry I don’t know your name. I also tried to find an email on your site. I missed it.
My name is Lazaro, I blog at Lazaro Cooks. Thanks for the kind words on my last post. The saffron puffed rice was quite tricky, it took me a few attempts to get it just right.
If you have any questions, or need to chat about it, do not hesitate to contact me at

Good luck

I have so much joy in the kitchen as well. It’s always wonderful to see a smile on people’s faces after they’re well fed. By blogging we share of ourselves and bring joy to others. Keep the recipes and musings coming!

This blog has been a really fun adventure for me, and I have met so many wonderful and generous people- who all happen to be formidable in the kitchen! It is a real joy to share with people. So nice to meet you and I’ll be enjoying your fine recipes as well!

Hey, Jenn, would you consider adding share links to your posts? I have gluten free friends I’d be happy to share posts with and I’d like to post your blog on Facebook from time to time.

Jen -
Log into FB. Go to your FB account settings (upper right corner), then click on Help Center. There’s tons of resources there – applets, page tools, instructions on adding links – all sorts of things.
Bon chance!

Yeah- I had some technical difficulties last night- I accidentally hit ‘publish’ instead of ‘preview’ and had to re-update for some minor edits and formatting. When I logged onto FB I noticed all the updates *yikes*….I think I deleted most of them….I hope…..Technology……sigh…..

Jen: Julie just sent me your most recent post, so just subscribed to your blog. So fun to be following your Paris adventure and seeing all the beautiful food pics! Looks like Jack is finding subjects for his camera, and these probably hold still better than we did at my wedding!
On another note, I have a friend who has one gluten free child and another lactose free child. She usually ends up cooking two or three different meals to get everybody fed! Any recipes on your blog I can point her toward to only make one meal that will feed everybody?

Laura- so great to hear from you! Yes, there are recipes that are both gf & df… also, you can sub soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or hemp milk wherever dairy is called for… No reason for your friend to be chained to the stove. You can also click on the “I blog Gluten-Free” widget- it will take you to the Gluten-Free Goddess, who’s also vegan- so no dairy at all in her recipes… I will work on putting another designation on my recipes- both gluten-free and dairy free, as you’re not the first person who’s requested this! Enjoy reading and feel free to pass along!!
