Best Restaurants in the Kansas City Metro Area for Gluten-Free Dining
Lulu’s Thai Noodles- Great food, great gluten-free Menu
Spin Pizza- this is my favorite gluten-free pizza joint anywhere!
Waldo Pizza- while I’m not as crazy about their gluten-free pizza crust, they do have a great atmosphere and great traditional pies. They have several gluten-free beers available, and the regular beer lover in your life will love their extensive international beer selection.
Stone Canyon Pizza- For gluten-free pizza North of the River, Stone Canyon’s your best bet.
Chez Elle- best gluten-free crepes outside of my kitchen!
Harry’s Country Club- they carry 2 gluten-free beers: St. Peter’s and Redbridge.
Cellar Rat Wines- This awesome wine shop is also a charcuterie where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine and a cheese plate. They make chutneys and mostardas in house, and if you ask they’ll sub gluten-free crackers for you. They also carry a small selection of gluten-free beers.
Nara- Easily the best Japanese food in Kansas City and they know all about gluten-free too! They have gluten-free soy sauce for sushi lovers (like me!), and are willing to prepare things with sauce on the side if you need. Their sushi chef is one of the best around, and several on the staff are gluten-free, so consider yourself in good hands here. An added bonus- killer happy hour prices!
Send me your favorite gluten-free friendly restaurants by city, and I’ll post them here!

I finally made it to your website, Jen!
It is awesome!! I’ll spread the word…
Where is your INCREDIBLE carmel-apple-pecan pie with a gluten-free crust that you shared at Dance in the Park?!

I don’t see it listed..and maybe it’s not a particular fav of yours.. but did you know that as a chain restaurant, PF Chang’s has quite an extensive gluten free offering. I don’t mean just as …well, chinese food with rice. They have made an effort to make as many of their dishes gluten-free – opting to use non-wheat flour and mixes whenever possible.

I’ve tried to focus on locally owned restaurants, but I am aware of PF Chang’s menu- they’ve done a lot for GF, and they do deserve recognition for their efforts. However, the worst meal and the worst service I’ve ever had in my life happened to be at our local PF Chang’s, while we were entertaining a guest from Russia no less… so it’s definitely colored my perception of their organization, and to be honest, I’m not sure they’ll ever have my business again. But you’re right- they are more gluten-free friendly than any chain out there at the moment, and that is good.

Jenn, I try to eat GF when I go out but I don’t think there are that many places in Orlando who have that. It’s so great Kansas has a couple of places already. These are great resources for the locals.
Happy holidays!

Nisrine- I found a few links for you to look at- maybe you already know of these places? If you really like some of them, let me know and I’ll start an Orlando section- my hope is that this page can become searchable by city, and be a treasure trove of local dining experiences with great food, that also have delicious gluten-free options!
